Superact CIC present... 'Our Big Gig'
During Summer 2013 I was delighted to work for Superact CIC on their national project, Our Big Gig. Our Big Gig promoted community cohesion through the creation of local community music events; bringing people together to celebrate amateur and voluntary music making in their local areas. As Regional Manager for the East of England, I recruited over thirty voluntary event organisers who organised and delivered events across the East region. All events took place 11-14th July 2013
SHARE Museums East
Working with Hazel Courtley of Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service, we developed a pilot project supporting several East region museums to develop their learning programmes. Case studies and the final report can be found on the SHARE website resources page
Arts Award
Between 2008 and 2012 I worked in a strategic capacity on the regional development of Arts Award across the East of England, including leading on this work during the transition to Arts Council England’s Bridge organisations. As an Art Award Trainer and Support Consultant I continue to work with schools and organisations across the East – click here to read about this work
Access Fund
During 2010 I co-ordinated the Access Fund, a national small grants fund – work which included supporting applicants, developing resources and making funding recommendations. Click here for full details of the Access Fund
British Council
In 2009 I was delighted to be selected by the British Council to travel to China as part of “UK-China 400: Exchange of Future Leaders”. This was an amazing opportunity to share views and best practice with creative practitioners and education workers – the experience has made a lasting impact on me
